HECM endorsements dropped -4.2% in March, with the channel performance completely flipping from last month. Retail/direct bounced back 9% while Wholesale/broker dropped -2.3%.
The largest originators again outpaced the industry overall, as our page 4 ranking report shows 11 of the top 15 retail originators for the month growing >9%.
On a combined basis for lenders including both Retail and Wholesale production, we saw just 4 of the top 8 growing faster than the industry overall:
- South River came roaring back with 122 loans after just 9 in February
- Guild jumped 62.9% to 57 loans
- Goodlife rose 22.5% to 87 loans
- Mutual of Omaha gained 9.3% to 493 loans – the highest endorsement volume on the month among all lenders!
