HECM Originators – Aug 2024

HECM endorsements fell -3.2% to 2,199 loans in August, with Wholesale/broker giving back -6.6% and Retail/direct easing just -0.6%.

The top 10 lenders showed better, collectively rising 0.6% as 4 of the 10 managed gains on the month:

  • FAR rose 12.1% to 566 loans
  • Guild added 10.2% to finish with 65 loans
  • Mutual kept the race for #1 tight, gaining 5.8% to 550 loans
  • Longbridge inched up 1.7% to 423 loans, confirming positive months for all 3 top lenders
