June HECM endorsements bounced back from May’s rainy day, but just half of the top 8 lenders grew their own volume on the month.
- FAR led the way, rising 280.6% to 822 loans (note that we are consolidating all endorsements by AAG after their 3/31 acquisition by FAR)
- Cherry Creek set a new company record at 127 loans, up 35.1% after a disappointing May
- Liberty gained 7.2% to 194 loans
June did see some drop off in new case numbers issued for HECM, declining -5.7% to 3,797.
- Equity Takeout cases issued (new reverses that are neither purchase nor refinances) matched the overall decline of -5.7% to 3,100
- Purchase (H4P) inched down -0.9% to 230
- H2H refinance case numbers fell faster, down -8.4% to 467
